Gallery for smaller work
In this section the paintings by Terry are smaller ones. They are still of places we have travelled and adventures we have taken. I enjoy painting a place we have been and they joy we had. The painting never matches the original but it is a reminder.
Adventure
This is the first abstract. Familiar shapes and complementary colors come together to give us a sense of adventure. 24 x 24 inches this oil painting is already sold but I wanted to share it with everyone.
Snake River Bridge
The train from Durango to Silverton, Colorado gives many views of the snake river as it winds its way. This is a bridge crossing showing the unique color of the river. This painting is 16” x 20” is oil paint on unstretched canvas.
Water fall Northwest
On a visit to the northwest we hiked down to this waterfall somewhere in Washington. The size is 24” x 24” Acrylic on Canvas.
The Trail Down
On a hike down from Four Peaks saddle back to the place where we left the truck after driving in 18 miles. This painting is 20” x 20” and was done with Acrylic on canvas.
Creek Bridge
On a hike in Washington we came across this bridge as we wandered through the forest. The size is 16” x 20” and is acrylic on canvas.
North Rim
At the north rim of the Grand Canyon there is a circle that is known as Tovar’s throne. Hiking near the edge brings that little excitement that something could happen. We can see where it might be possible to walk out but that would be too big a risk. The painting is a reminder of adventure that is possible and some that is not.
Red Rocks of Sedona
This is a commissioned painting of the red rocks of Sedona. The rocks there are very unusual and unique in their color and shape. This painting is not for sale.
