My wife asked me for something fall to hang in the house. This had a lot of color and was a challenge to paint the old waterwheel in the picture. This is an oil painting that is 24” x 36” done on gallery wrapped canvas.

We were looking for the Garlands as we drove up Oak Creek canyon just north of Sedona, Arizona. We turned into a place that had huge trees with leaves in full color. We were traveling down the Washington coast and stopping to hike at every little pull out and opportunity. This was one of the amazing views that rewarded us as we walked along the edge of a cliff. At the far end of Saguaro Lake there is a trail called Butcher Jones Trail. We hiked the edge of the lake and up to the highest point.
