Alaska Mountain Lake

We travelled up the inside passage of Alaska and then overland to Denali National Park. We took a lot of pictures there. This painting was not one of the pictures. It involves several of the photo and elements of the area that are so impressive and inspiring. This painting is 48 x30 and is done with acrylic on gallery canvas.

  • Waterwheel

    My wife asked me for something fall to hang in the house. This had a lot of color and was a challenge to paint the old waterwheel in the picture. This is an oil painting that is 24” x 36” done on gallery wrapped canvas.

  • Looking Back

    Looking back at praying hands and the Phoenix area from the Massacre Trail you get a good view of the superstitions and the valley below. The Painting is 24” x 30” and is done with acrylic on canvas.

  • Slide Rock

    Slide Rock State Park near Sedona, Arizona is one of the most beautiful places where the water runs over shallow red rock. Be careful, the rock is very slippery. Some come to slide on purpose and some slide without purpose. The painting is 24” x 36” and is done with acrylic on canvas.

  • The Garlands

    We were looking for the Garlands as we drove up Oak Creek canyon just north of Sedona, Arizona. We turned into a place that had huge trees with leaves in full color. This little bridge was over a small creek that led to some other buildings. The painting is 24” x 30” and is done with acrylic on canvas.

  • Washington Coast

    We were traveling down the Washington coast and stopping to hike at every little pull out and opportunity. This was one of the amazing views that rewarded us as we walked along the edge of a cliff. The sound of the surf is left to your imagination. This painting is 24” x 36” with acrylic on gallery canvas.

  • Grand Canyon

    Hiking the south rim of the Grand Canyon always brings great views. This was right place at the right time to capture what I wanted on canvas. The painting is 24” x 36” and is acrylic on gallery canvas.

  • Butcher Jones

    At the far end of Saguaro Lake there is a trail called Butcher Jones Trail. We hiked the edge of the lake and up to the highest point. Just as we topped the hill we could look down the other side to see this view. It is well worth the climb. This painting is done with acrylic paint on gallery wrapped canvas and is 30” x 40”.

  • The Path to the Cross

    This is just a concept piece representing the path to the cross. It is not straight and it is never easy. This is 24x36 acrylic on canvas.
